CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATES
CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATES, based in Long Beach, California, provides labor relations services to employees associations in Southern California. We represent employees covered by the collective bargaining law, the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. All of CEA's clients are public employees who belong to local, independent associations.
CEA has been providing full service since 1988 at a cost of $14 to $18 per member, per month. We do not ask clients to sign long term contracts, and there are no additional costs. CEA representatives work as association staff, recommending action and taking direction from your Board of Directors. We provide prompt, professional attention, on site, to your organization's needs. We have many years of experience with public agencies in California.
IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE UNIONS…
CEA staff may also be helpful if you wish to CHANGE your union representation. We assist public employees in forming their own independent associations, and, if necessary, in decertifying the existing union.
IF YOU HAVE NO UNION…
If you are a public employee with NO union or association, CEA may be able to represent you on an hourly basis. We also assist groups of employees in FORMING their own Labor Organizations.
